To agree to the salary range of Chief Officer post, in accordance with the Council’s Pay Policy Statement, and to note that the Chief Executive has delegated authority to establish, in consultation with the Party Group Leaders, individual Appointment Panels for the appointment of Chief Officers.

·         Director of Public Health (Directorate of Health & Adult Services), Chief Officer grade B (salary range £119,467 – £131,210)

 

Noted that the Chief Executive has delegated authority to establish, in consultation with the Party Group Leaders, individual Appointment Panels for the appointment of Chief Officers based on the requirements of the post.

2.       That the Chief Executive has delegated authority to establish, in consultation with the Party Group Leaders, individual Appointment Panels for the appointment of Chief Officers based on the requirements of the post be noted.

In response to questions from the Committee, the Director of Resources and the Head of Human Resources clarified which of the posts would go before the Appointments Panel and which would be filled internally in accordance with corporate employment procedures.
