Resolved that full planning permission be granted for the removal and replacement of combustible materials and build-ups in the existing external cladding materials on buildings within the original phases 1 & 2 of Greenwich Millennium Village (Maurer Court, Metcalfe Court, Faraday Lodge, Alamaro Lodge, Da Vinci Lodge, Newton Lodge, Holly Court & New Becquerel Court).

 

Subject to –

·      The Conditions set out in Appendix 2 of the report and its addendum.

·      Amendment to Condition 7 – Materials, that the Sto Render Grain: Strukturmuster 1.0 / be colour matched to the original vibrant colour pallet on the Faraday, Alamaro & Newton blocks (in Phase 2); so as to maintain the original architectural design ideal of these iconic blocks.

·      The following additional Informative:

‘In respect of the Greenwich Millenium Village blocks Faraday Lodge, Alamaro Lodge & Maurer Court only, the applicant and the management company are advised to engage in discussions with residents to conduct an investigation into the feasibility of the cladding product Parklex Prodema GRCLAD-B as a potential alternative replacement material for the existing Cedar Wood cladding as suggested by residents.’  

 

That the Assistant Director (Planning & Building Control) be authorised to make any minor changes to the detailed wording of the recommended conditions as set out in Appendix 2 of the report, its addendum and the minutes of this Planning Board meeting, where the Assistant Director (Planning & Building Control) considers it appropriate, before issuing the final decision notice.
