Urgent business
The Chair to announce any items of urgent business circulated separately from the main agenda.
Members to declare any personal and financial interests in items on the agenda. Attention is drawn to the Council’s Constitution, the Council’s Code of Conduct and associated advice.
Members are requested to confirm as an accurate record the Minutes of the meeting held on 7th December 2020.
No motion or discussion may take place upon the Minutes except as to the accuracy, and any question on this point will be determined by a majority of the Members of the body attending who were present when the matter in question was decided. Once confirmed, with or without amendment, the person presiding will sign the Minutes.
Members are asked to note the Draft Business Plan for 2021/22.
Members are asked to note the annual report of the Pension Board for 2019/20.
Members are asked to note that Her Majesty’s Treasury (HMT) revoked the Restriction of Public Sector Exit Payments Regulations 2020 on 12th February 2021. Members are also asked to note the policy decisions made at the Panel on 7th December 2020 in respect of the 95k cap in respect of payments of pensions and the early adoption of the GAD factors which are no longer applicable, and to agree to a further review by the Fund actuary of the factors to be used to calculate strain cost calculations and to agree to the implementation of any revised factors as a result of the review.
Members are asked to agree the Governance Compliance Statement for the Royal Borough of Greenwich Fund.
Members are asked to note the updated Pension Fund Risk Register as a tool for managing risk within the Pension Fund.
Members are asked to note the draft Pension Fund half year accounts for the period ending 31 December 2020.
Members are asked to note a report on the performance of the Royal Borough of Greenwich Pension Fund’s investment managers for the period ending 31 December 2020. Members are also asked to consider the information detailed in the Exempt Appendix to the report in closed session under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972, Schedule 12A, Paragraph 3 “Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information)”, and to agree that the information detailed in the Exempt Appendix to the report be not subsequently released to the press or public.
