Decision:

Noted that the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) Housing Zone Programme was approved by Mayoral Decision Notice dated 27 July 2015, securing an adjusted figure of £23.833m of Greater London Authority (GLA) grant and equity funding for the delivery of 1,459 homes, including at least 45% affordable, over the next ten years. 

 

Agreed to delegate to the Director of Regeneration Enterprise and Skills the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Housing Zone (HZ) partners (being Peabody, GLA and London Borough of Bexley (LBB)).

 

Agreed to delegate to the Director of Regeneration Enterprise and Skills approval of the detailed proposals for residential schemes on each Housing Zone site, to be reported to Cabinet, prior to the submission of any planning applications by Peabody.

 

Agreed the proposals for the disposal of Royal Borough of Greenwich’s freehold interest in Southmere Boating Centre to Peabody and for the temporary and/or permanent re-provision as part of the new development will be reported to Cabinet for approval if appropriate once negotiations are complete.
